Warrant Anent Coach-Houses and Stables To the Lord high Chancelor
The Lords of his majesties privy Councill Doe heirby give order To and Command John Hamilton, Baillie Deput to her Grace the Dutches of Hamiltoun within the Abbay of Halyroodhouse To cause furnish the Earle of Marchmont Lord high Chancellor of Scotland with such Coach-houses and Stables as his Lordship shall pitch upon and Choice and that out of such Coach-houses and Stables as are possest by any persones not being in the Service of the Government at present, And To Require and See the Persones who possesses the same presently, Enter the said Lord high Chancellor to such of them as he shall Require possession off, And in caice they shall Refuse or delay when Required Then ordaines and appointes the said John Hamiltoun Baillie Deput forsaid To cause Brake open the doors of the saids Coach-houses and Stables, And To Enter The said Lord high Chancellor to the peaceable possession2 of the same, providing they be within the precinct of the said Abbay of Halyroodhouse, And Allowes the said Lord high Chancellor To Continue in the possession of the same, during the haill tyme of this Ensweing Session of Parliament.
