Warrant To Sir Gilbert Eliot To acquaint the Clerk of the African and Indian Company That he acquaint the Directors To attend the Councill anent the Address

The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, Doe heirby give order and warrand To Sir Gilbert Elliot one of their Clerks, To acquaint Roderick McKenzie Clerk to the Company of Scotland Trading to Africa and the Indies, That the said Sir Gilbert hes a Message from the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, To the Directors of the said Company And That Therfore The said Roderick McKenzie their Clerk Should advertise the Directors of the said Company To meet And when they shall be mett, That Ther said Clerk shall acquaint the said Sir Gilbert Eliot Clerk of privy Councill of their meeting, And Appointes The said Sir Gilbert To Tell to the said Councill and directors, That it is the pleasure of the Lords of his Majesties privy Councill, That they or Some of their own number wait on the saids Lords of privy Councill upon Twesday next in the Afternoon, To Know his Majesties pleasure In answer to their last Address.
