Act Anent accompts resting to the inhabitants of St Andrews

The Lords of his majesties privie Counsell haveing Considered the report of a comittie of ther own number appointed for reviseing the accompts resting be his majesties forces to the Countrie Beareing that the Comittie haveing considered the accompt given in to them as resting by The Lord Rollo and the Gentlemen of his troupe to the inhabitants of St Andrews with the instructiones and verificationes therof They find the haill articles of the said accompt Sufficiently verified and proven by the oaths and Depositiones of the saids inhabitants taken befor two of the Comissioners of Supplie within the Shyre of Fiffe Conforme to the saids Comissioners ther report written upon the end of the said accompt and Subscribed be them beareing that the haill persones named in the accompt compeared befor them and Deponed that the Soumes in the accompt are truely resting to them And that ther is no pairt therof payed And that they are for meat and Drink corne and Straw furnished be them to The Lord Rollos troupe in November Jaj vic and nyntie yeirs Which accompt Depositiones and report were all produced to and considered be the said Comittie And findes that conforme to the said accompt and instructiones therof ther is resting be the said Lord Rollo and the Gentlemen of his troupe the Soume of Two Hundereth punds Sixtein Shilling Scotts And finds that the haill articles wherof this Soume is made up are all furnished preceeding the first day of February Jaj vic nyntie one yeirs And that they are all in the termes of the nynth act fourth sessione of this current parliament intituled act anent the polemoney and of the proclamationes of Counsell relative therto And therfor it is the Comitties opinion that the said Soume of two hundereth punds Sixtein Shilling Scots is to be payed to the saids inhabitants of St Andrews out of the said polemoney And that they are to be recomended to the Lords Commissioners of his majesties Thesaurie for payment of the same accordingly As the said report bears The saids Lords of his majesties privie Counsell doe heirby approve of the said report and recomends to the Commissioners of parliament appointed anent the polemoney imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie to cause make payment to the saids inhabitants of Standrews of the above Soume of Two Hundereth punds Sixtein Shilling Scotts And that out of the said polemoney

The Lords of his majesties privie Counsell haveing considered the report of a Comittie of ther own number appointed for reviseing the accompts resting be his majesties forces to the Countrie Beareing That the Comittie haveing considered the accompts given in to them as resting be his majesties forces upon Scotts pay to William Syme tennent to Sir Alexander Blaire of Balthyock with the instructiones and verificationes therof They find the haill articles of the said accompt Sufficiently verified and proven be the oath and depositione of the said William Syne taken befor two of the Commisisoners of Supplie within the Shyre of Perth And that besyde severall recepts granted be the persones to whom the said accompt was furnished Conforme to the reports of the saids Commissioners Subscribed be them written upon the end of the saids accompts Which accompts report of the Comissioners and recepts were all produced to and considered by the Committie And finds that conforme to the Saids accompts and instructiones therof ther is resting be his majesties forces upon Scotts pay to the said William Syne the Soumes follouing viz be The Lord Newbatle his troupe of horse the Soume of twentie one punds eight Shilling four pennies Scotts And be The Lord Rollo his troupe of horse the Soume of nyn pund Seven Shilling four pennies Scotts Extending both the saids soumes to the Soume of Threttie punds fiftein Shilling eight pennies Scotts money And the Comittie findes the haill articles wherof this Last Soume is made up were all furnished preceeding the first day of February Jaj vic nyntie ane yeirs And that they are all in the termes of the fifth act third Sessione of this current parliament intituled act for polemoney And proclamationes of Counsell relative therto And therfor it is The Comitties opinion that the said Soume of Threttie punds fiftein Shilling Eight pennies is to be payed to the said William Syme out of the present polemoney And that he is to be recomended to the Lords Comissioners of his majesties Thesaurie for payment of the same accordinglie As the said report beares The Saids Lords of his majesties privie Counsell Haveing considered the above report of accompts resting be his majesties forces to the above William Syme They heirby approve therof and recomends to the Comissioners of parliament appointed anent the pole money imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie To cause make payment to the said William Syme of the above Soume of Threttie punds fiftein Shilling Eight pennies Scotts money And that out of the said pole money

The Lords of his majesties privie Counsell haveing considered the report of a comittie of ther own number appointed for retifieing the accompts resting be his Majesties forces to the Countrie Beareing that the Comittie haveing considered the accompts given in to them as resting be The Earle of Glencairne his regiment of foot which was upon Scotts pay to the inhabitants within the towne of Air with the instructiones and verificationes therof they find the haill articles of the saids accompts Sufficiently verified and proven by recepts upon each accompt under the hands of the officers of the company to whom the accompts is furnished containing the Soume and acknowledgeing the same to be resting and containing a precept owt of the companies pay which accompts and recepts theron as said is were all produced to and considered by The Comittie and all the recepts and obleidgements on the accompts are dated the fourtein day of Aprile Jaj vic and nyntie yeirs And The Comittie finds that conforme to the saids accompts and instructiones therof ther is resting Be the said Earle of Glencairn his regiment of foot which was upon Scotts pay and the severall companies therof efternamed the Soumes follouing to the saids inhabitants within the towne of Air viz be the Collonells company the Soume of Ane Hundered and Eleven punds Seven Shilling Scotts Item be the Leivetennent Collonells company Ane Hundereth and fourtie thrie punds eight Shilling Scotts money foirsaid Item be The Majors company the Soume of Ane Hundereth and twelve punds thrie Shilling Scotts Item be Sir Thomas Niccollsones company the Soume of Fourscore nyntein punds Eleven Shilling Scotts Item be Captaine Cwninghams company Ane Hundereth and eight punds two Shilling Scots Item be Captaine Mckeinzes company the Soume of Ane hundered threttie eight punds twelve Shilling ten pennes Scotts Item be Captaine John Mckyes company Ane Hundereth and fiftein punds twelve Shilling Scotts Extending the haill Soumes foirsaids Due by the said regiment and severall companyes therin to the Soume of Eight hundereth twentie eight punds fiftein Shilling ten pennies Scotts And the Comittie finds that the haill articles wherof this Last Soume is made up were all furnished preceeding the first day of February Jaj vic nyntie ane yeirs And that they are all in the termes of the nynth act fourth sessione of this current parliament intituled act for pole money And proclamationes of Counsell relative therto And therfore it is the Comitties opinion that the said Soume of Eight Hundereth twentie eight punds fiftein Shilling Scotts is to be payed to the inhabitants of the said towne of Air out of the pole money imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie yeirs And that they are to be recomended to the Comissioners of parliament appointed anent the said polemoney imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie for payment of the Same accordingly As the said report bears The saids Lords of his majesties privie Counsell haveing considered the said report They heirby approve therof And recomends to the Comissioners of parliament appointed anent the polemoney imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie yeirs To cause make payment to the saids inhabitants of the said soume of Eight Hundereth and tuentie eight punds fiftein shilling scotts money And that out of the said pole money.2

The Lords of his majesties privie Counsell haveing considered the report of a comittie of ther own number appointed for reviseing the accompts resting be his majesties forces to the Countrie Beareing That the Comittie haveing considered the accompts given in to them as resting be his majesties forces upon Scotts pay to the inhabitants of the towne of Air and Newtowne therof and Liberties of the burgh with the instructiones and verificationes therof They find that ther is ane article stated in these accompts for a pint Stopp taken away which not being in the termes of the act of parliament anent polemoney and proclamationes Relative therto Therfor they have refwised and rejected this article And finds the haill articles of the saids accompts Sufficiently verified and proven be the oathes and Depositiones of the saids inhabitants taken aither befor the Comissioners of Supplie within the Shyre of Air or befor the magistrats of the burgh of Air or by recepts granted by the Souldiers to whom the articles of the accompts are fwrnished produced to the Saids Commissioners or magistrats 2 Conforme to the attestationes of the Commissioners or magistrats Duely Subscribed be them at the end of the Saids accompts which accompts and attestationes therof Subscribed as said is were produced to and considered be the Comittie And findes that Conforme to the saids accompts and instructiones foirsaids ther is resting be his majesties forces upon Scotts pay to the inhabitants of the said towne of Air and Newtowne therof And Liberties of the burgh besydes the article refwsed and rejected as said is the Soumes following Viz be the Lord Blantyre his regiment of foot the Soume of Ane Hundereth and threttie Seven punds four Shilling Scotts Item be the Laird of Pollock his troupe of horse the Soume of Ane Hundereth and Fourtie Seven punds Eleven Shilling four pennies Scotts Extending both the saids Soumes to the Soume of Two hundereth Fourscore four pund fiftein Shilling four pennies Scotts And the Comittie findes that the haill articles wherof this Last Soume is made wp were all fwrnished preceeding the first day of Febrwary Jaj vic nyntie one yeirs And that they are all in the termes of the nynth act fourth Sessione of this current parliament intituled act for polemoney And proclamationes of privie Councell relative therto And therfore it is the Committies opinion that the said Soume of Two hundereth fourscore four punds fiftein Shilling four pennies Scotts is to be payed to the said inhabitants of the towne of Air and Newtoune therof and Liberties of the burgh out of the polemoney imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie And that they are to be recomended to the Lords Commissioners of his majesties thesaurer for payment of the same accordinglie or to the Comissioners of parliament now appointed anent the polemoney imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie As the said report bears The saids Lords of his majesties privie Counsell haveing considered the above report resting be his majesties forces to the inhabitants of the towne of Air They heirby approve therof And recomends to the Comissioners of parliament appointed anent the polemoney imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie to cause make payment to the saids inhabitants of the towne of Air of the said Soume of Two Hundereth Fourscore four punds fiftein Shilling four pennies Scotts money And that out of the Said polemoney
