Act Anent accompts resting to the towne of Air be Blantyres regiment

The Lords of his majesties privie Counsell haveing considered the report of a comittie of ther own number appointed for reviseing the accompts resting be his majesties forces to the Countrie Beareing That the Comittie haveing considered the accompts given in to them as resting be his majesties forces upon Scotts pay to the inhabitants of the towne of Air and Newtowne therof and Liberties of the burgh with the instructiones and verificationes therof They find that ther is ane article stated in these accompts for a pint Stopp taken away which not being in the termes of the act of parliament anent polemoney and proclamationes Relative therto Therfor they have refwised and rejected this article And finds the haill articles of the saids accompts Sufficiently verified and proven be the oathes and Depositiones of the saids inhabitants taken aither befor the Comissioners of Supplie within the Shyre of Air or befor the magistrats of the burgh of Air or by recepts granted by the Souldiers to whom the articles of the accompts are fwrnished produced to the Saids Commissioners or magistrats 2 Conforme to the attestationes of the Commissioners or magistrats Duely Subscribed be them at the end of the Saids accompts which accompts and attestationes therof Subscribed as said is were produced to and considered be the Comittie And findes that Conforme to the saids accompts and instructiones foirsaids ther is resting be his majesties forces upon Scotts pay to the inhabitants of the said towne of Air and Newtowne therof And Liberties of the burgh besydes the article refwsed and rejected as said is the Soumes following Viz be the Lord Blantyre his regiment of foot the Soume of Ane Hundereth and threttie Seven punds four Shilling Scotts Item be the Laird of Pollock his troupe of horse the Soume of Ane Hundereth and Fourtie Seven punds Eleven Shilling four pennies Scotts Extending both the saids Soumes to the Soume of Two hundereth Fourscore four pund fiftein Shilling four pennies Scotts And the Comittie findes that the haill articles wherof this Last Soume is made wp were all fwrnished preceeding the first day of Febrwary Jaj vic nyntie one yeirs And that they are all in the termes of the nynth act fourth Sessione of this current parliament intituled act for polemoney And proclamationes of privie Councell relative therto And therfore it is the Committies opinion that the said Soume of Two hundereth fourscore four punds fiftein Shilling four pennies Scotts is to be payed to the said inhabitants of the towne of Air and Newtoune therof and Liberties of the burgh out of the polemoney imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie And that they are to be recomended to the Lords Commissioners of his majesties thesaurer for payment of the same accordinglie or to the Comissioners of parliament now appointed anent the polemoney imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie As the said report bears The saids Lords of his majesties privie Counsell haveing considered the above report resting be his majesties forces to the inhabitants of the towne of Air They heirby approve therof And recomends to the Comissioners of parliament appointed anent the polemoney imposed in anno Jaj vic nyntie thrie to cause make payment to the saids inhabitants of the towne of Air of the said Soume of Two Hundereth Fourscore four punds fiftein Shilling four pennies Scotts money And that out of the Said polemoney
