Liberatione Innes of Towie
Anent the petitione given in to the Lords of his Majesties privie Councill by Adam Innes of Towie Shewing That whereas the petitioner being in France the tyme of the publishing the2 eight act of this currant parliament whereby all his Majesties subjects were requyred Home within the3 sexty dayes prescryved Left the said Kingdome of France and repaired to Flanders where he obtained passes from his majesties ministers there and returned home and found sufficient baille to answere the said Lords when called for and to Live peaceablie under the Government which accordingly he hes done ever since And on the second instant he was Committed prisoner where he still continows and a dangerouse ague which he formerlie had for sexteen moneths hes now recurred And therfore Humblie Craveing in maner and to the effect aftermentioned as the said petition bears The Lords of his majesties privy Councill haveing Considered the foresaid petitione given in to them by the said Adam Innes of Towie with the passes in his favors since his comeing from France and the Testificat of his indispositione They Hereby give ordor and warrand to the Baillies of the Cannongate and keeper of their Tolbooth to sett the said petitioner at Liberty furth therof In respect He hes given bond and found sufficient Cautione acted in the books of privie Councill That He shall live peaceablie under and with all submissione to the present Government of his Majestie King William and that He shall not act Consult or Contryve any thin gin prejudice therof nor shall not Converse nor correspond with any Rebells and that He shall appear before the said Lords of privie Councill when called for under the penalty of fyve thousand merks scots and upon granting this new bond ordain’s the former bond to be given up.
