Recomendatione to the Provost of Edinburgh anent Major Wood and John Hamilton

Major James Wood who is under baille and John Hamilton stabler in Edinburgh in the same Case haveing been ceitted to appear before the Lords of his majesties privy Councill and they being informed Major Wood’s wyfe and his daughter are dangerouslie sick and Lyke to dye and That John Hamilton is an aged infirme man They hereby recomend to Sir Robert Cheislie Provost of Edinburgh ane of their owne number to Look after and take care of the said Major James Wood so long as his wyfe and daughter continow’s sick and are lyke to dye And recomends to Cause enquyre after the circumstances of the said Major Wood and so soon as his wyfe and daughters case may admitt of his absence from them and to make inquirie after the caice and Conditione and age of the said John Hamilton and the said James Wood his Case and to make report thereof to the Councill.
