Mr Veatch and Mr. Blair tuo ministers and Sir John Clerk of Pennycook a ruling Elder Did appear before the Councill as Commissionat by the Commission of the Generall Assembly to represent to their Lordships that the present Circumstances both as to the threatned famine and Great scarcity and povertie Doe Call for humiliation And that the Commissioners of the Assembly have thought fitt that a day of humiliatione be observed and have sent them to attend that their Lordships may Interpone their Civill sanction to the same
