Act Discharging persons to travell from Edinburgh without passes

The Lords of his Majesties privie Councill for the better Keeping and securing the peace of the Kingdome have thought fitt to appoint And heirby appoint and ordaine that none presume to travell from Edinburgh to any part of the Kingdome without a pass from one or other of their Lordships number Bearing their Names and the place to which they are designed to Goe Certifying such as shall be found to Contraveen this Act That they shall be stopped till they be farder examined And all Magistrats and other officers Civill or Military are to take care that these presents be duely observed And ordaines these presents to be printed and published that none pretend ignorance.
