Forfaulter of Robert Smyth his bond
Robert Smyth merchant in Edinburgh who is under bailie to the Councill haveing been ceitted by a macer to appear before the Councill and excused and continued till this day The said Robert being this day ofttymes called by a macer to have compeared before the Councill He failzied to compear as was clearlie understood to the said Lords of his Majesties privie Councill and therfore the said Lords Have forfaulted and hereby forfaults the penalty of ane Hundred pound sterling contained in the said Robert his bond Declair’s the same to be incurred And Decerns and Ordains the said Robert Smyth to make payment and satisfaction to George Baillie of Jarviswood Generall receiver of his majesties Croune Rents of the said sum of ane Hundred pound sterline of penaltie contained in his said bond and ordaines Letters of Horneing on sex dayes and others needfull to be direct hereupon in forme as effeires and ordaines macers and messingers to seize upon the said Robert Smyth and committ him To prisone untill furder order
