Approbatione of Captain Grants Seizing upon the Lord Drummond

Sir Thomas Livingstone Commander in Cheiff of his majesties forces within this Kingdome Haveing acquainted the Councill That Captain Grant one of the Captains in the Lord Murrays Regiment had seized upon the Lord Drummond travelling with severall persones in his companie and Haveing asked who my Lord Drummond was He answered one of the Captaines of the Lord Murrays Regiment which Captain Grant knowing to be false Committed him prisoner to the Castle of Stirling where He remaines The Councill approves of what Captain Grant hes done in this matter and Appoynts and ordaines the governor Livetennant Governour and other officers of the Castle of Stirling To detaine the said Lord Drummond prisoner therein till farder ordor.
