Warrand anent Towiebeg and other Prisoners

The which day Sir Thomas Livingstoune Commander in Cheiff of his Majesties forces within this Kingdome Haveing acquainted the Lords of his majesties privy Councill That upon informatione from the Lord Justice Clerk He caused sease the persones of […] Laird Towiebeg Gavin Hamilton […] Williame Johnstoune of Graitney […] Innes George Forbes […] Turnie and […] Sinclair Skinner in Edinburgh and that they are presently prisoners in the Toune Guard of Edinburgh They doe Hereby approve of what the Lord Justice Clerk and Sir Thomas Livingstoune hes done in the said matter and appoynts the Captaine or other Commanding officer of the toune of Edinburghs guards To Cause convoy the said Laird of Towiebeg Gavin Hamilton and Thomas Turrin to the Tolbooth of the Cannongate and ordaines the Baillies of the Cannongate and Keeper of ther Tolbooth to receive and detaine the said three persones prisoners untill farder ordor and Recomends to the Lord Justice Clerk and the Laird of Grant and Sir Thomas Livingstoune or any two of them to examined the rest of the said persones seized and offer to them the oath of alleadgeance and assureance and to report their oppinion anent them to the Councill at their next meeting.
