[Sir William Bruce to Edinburgh Castle]

The Lords of his Majesties privie Councill doe Hereby give ordor and warrand to the Captaine or other Commanders of the Toune Guards of Edinburgh under whose sentinells Sir William Bruce of Kinross is presently prisoner in his owne Chamber To Cause convey the persone of the said Sir William under a sufficient guard from his said Chamber to the Castle of Edinburgh and Recomends to the Earle of Leven Governor of the Castle of Edinburgh and in his absence gives ordor and warrand to the next Commanding officer to receive the said Sir William Bruce into the said Castle And to Committ and detaine Him closs prisoner there untill farder ordor of Councill
