[Letter anent navy on French coast]

The Lord Cancellour acquainted the Councill he had received a Letter from Sir James Oglivie principall Secretarie of State which he had not upon him yesterday, and he delyvered the same to the Clerk which was read at the board Giveing ane account that his majesties Royall navie are strong and on the French coast And that he thinks the militia and fencible men needs not at present be put to furder trouble but only to be in readiness
