Remitt to the Justiciary Thomas Aikenhead

The Lybell at the instance of Sir James Steuart his Majesties Advocat against Thomas Aikenhead son to the deceast James Aikenhead apothecarie for Blasphemy Being this day Called in presence of the Lords of his Majesties privie Councill And the Lord Advocat and Sir Patrick Home his Majesties sollicitor Compearing personallie for his Majesties Intrest And the defendar Compearing also personallie The Lybell and ansuers theirto Being read The saids Lords of his Majesties privie Councill have Remitted and heirby Remitts the said Thomas Aikenhead defender to be pursued before the Lords Commissioners of his Majesties Justiciary for the said Crime of Blasphemy And appoints the said Lord Advocat to Intent and prosecute the said proces against the said Thomas Aikenhead for his Life.
