Warrand magistrats of Stirling to secure persons seized by privy Councillours

Sir Thoms Livingstoune Commander in Cheiff of his Majesties forces within this King2 having acquainted the Lords of his majesties privie Councill That some persons being seized by ordor of particular privie Councillors and afterwards offered to some of the Baillies of Stirling They refused to secure them in their Tolbooth The said Lords doe Hereby give ordor to any of the magistrats of Stirling or Councillors of the said burgh to receive and put into ther Tolbooth any person seized or who shall be seized by ordor of any of his Majesties privy Councillors and to detaine them therein till furder ordor And Declar’s them to be answerable for their safe Custodie and appoynts the Clerks of privie Councill to give out letters for ceitting John Buird eldest Baillie of the said burgh of Stirling to compear before the said Lords the seventeenth day of march instant and to answer for the said magistrats their refuiseing to receive into their prisone the persons seized as said is.
