Commission by the Council

Commissione Rosebank to be a Commissioner of Supply

The Lords of his majesties privie Councill doe hereby nominat and appoynt Thomas Young of Rosebank to be one of the Commissioners of Supply and Justice of the peace within the shyre of Midlothiane and that in place of Baillie John Johnstoune of Poltoune now deceassed and adds the said Thomas Young to the Commissioners Justices alreadie named in the said shyre with power to the said Thomas Young to meet vote and act with the said Comissioners sicklyke and als fully and freely in all respects as any Comissioner of supply or Justice of peace within the said shyre And appoynts the said Thomas Young to qualifie himself by takeing the oath of alleadgeance and assurance to his majestie King William in presence of the Commissioners of Supply already named before He be allowed to meet with them or to sitt and vote or doe as ane Commissioner of supply or ane Justice of peace
