Order
Anent prisoners in and detachment to the Castle of Edinburgh
The Lords of his Majesties privie Councill Doe heirby Recommend to and require David Earle of Leven Constable and Govenour of the Castle of Edinburgh And In his absence Gives order and warrand to the nixt Commanding officer ther to allow to George Duke of Gordoun tuo or three servants as his Grace shall think fitt To the Earl of Marischell and the Lord Drummond tuo servants each of them And to Mr William Livingstoun of Kilsyth one servant to attend them in the said Castle And to allow at once four visitors and no more persons to visite all the foresaids prisoners And appoints the detachment which is furnished to the said Castle out of his Majesties standing forces to march from the Castle once the morrow And declares the said detachment is noe more to be furnished to the said Castle till furder order.
