Warrant
Warrand for Comitting Sir William Sharp to the Castle of Edinburgh
The Lords of his majesties privie Councill doe hereby give ordor and warrand To the Captaine of the Toune of Edinburgh’s Companie of Guards or any other officer of the said Companie To convoy under a sufficient Guard the persone of Sir William Sharp of Stonniehill Closs prisoner from the Tolbooth of Edinburgh to the Castle of Edinburgh And ordaines the magistras2 of Edinburgh and keeper of their Tolbooth To delyver the said Sir William to the said Guard And recomends to the Earle of Leven Governour of the said Castle and in his absence gives ordor and warrand to the next Commanding officer there To receive the said Sir William Sharpe from the said Guard and to detaine him Closs prisoner in the said Castle till farder ordor And allows Sir William Sharps Ladie and his Daughter to converse with him in presence of any of the officers of the said Castle
