Ordor anent maintanance of ten Sick Recruits

The Lords of his majesties privie Councill being informed that ten sick men which were in the Castle of Edinburgh and who are now mentained by the Toune of Edinburgh in a house taken by the magistrats for their use, are a pairt of the draughts taken out of the standing Regiments within this Kingdome in order to have been sent aboard for recruits but were driven back by Storme and redelyvered to their severall Regiments They hereby recomend To Sir Thomas Livingstone Commander in Cheiff of his Majesties forces within this Kingdome To give ordor to the officers to whose regiments the said ten men belong To make payment to the said magistrats of Edinburgh of the expences debursed or to be debursed by them for mentaining of the said ten men.
