Approbatione of John Riddoch’s imprisonment

The Lord Provost of Edinburgh acquainted the Councill That He had seized John Riddoch a Papist and who is a common doer for papists and committed him Prisoner to the Tolbooth of Edinburgh The Councill approves of what the Lord Provost hes done in this matter and ordaines the magistrats of Edinburgh and Keeper of ther Tolbooth to detaine the said John Riddoch prisoner till furder order
