Procedure
Young Dean and Burnecastle take the oath of alleadgeance and assureance.
Harie Nisbet younger of Dean and George Logane of Burnecastle two of the persons under bale to the Councill being ceitted to appear before their Lordships this day appeared personallie and frankly offered to swear and signe the alleadgeance and assureance to his Majestie appoynted by act of parliament, which they instantly swore and signed in presence of the Councill and Craved that the Clerks of Councill might be ordained to delyver up their bands Lyeing in the Clerks hands whereupon the Chancellor declared in the Councill’s name how willingly and kindlie the Councill did accept of their willing and duetyfull offer and performance of takeing the alleadgeance and assureance as his majesties good and Loyall subjects And the Councill ordains their Clerks to delyver up to the said two persones their bonds granted by them and their Cautioners which are in the Clerks hands
