Act Anent some Ministers

The Lords of his Majesties privie Councell Having Considered the report made to their Lordships by Sir James Steuart his Majesties advocat anent the Ministers Imprisoned in the tolbooth of Edinburgh The saids Lords of his Majesties privy Councell Doe heirby Discharge Mr James Adamson Late Minister at Bedrule to preach or exercise any pairt of his ministeriall function uithin this Kingdome And Gives order and warrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh and Keeper of their tolbooth to sett the said Mr James at Libertie furth therof In respect that he hath inacted himself in the books of privie Councell That he shall Depart furth of the toune of Edinburgh Liberties and suburbs therof betuixt and the first day of May nixt to Come And shall not returne uithin the same, without his Majesties or the Councells warrand for that effect And that under the paine of being banished furth of this kingdome And the saids Lords Doe heirby Discharge Mr Charles Kay Late Minister at Leith to preach or exercise any part of his Ministeriall functione under the paine of being banished furth of this kingdome if he faill And discharges Mr. John Park Late Minister att Carriden, to preach or exercise any part of his ministeriall functione uithin the toune of Edinburgh or suburbs therof And if at any tyme hereafter he shall preach in the forsaids bounds The saids Lords authorizes and Impoures the Magistrats of Edinburgh to banish him furth of the said toune and Liberties of the same And the saids Lords banishes Mr James Chalmers Late minister at Kilpatrick in Annandale furth of this kingdome And discharges him to preach or exercise any part of his ministeriall function uithin the same And Gives order and warrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh and Keeper of their tolbooth to sett the said Mr James Chalmers at Libertie furth therof In order to his banishment In respect He hath Inacted himself in the books of privie Councell That he shall Depart furth of this kingdome betuixt and the fifteenth day of May nixt to Come and never returne uithin the samen uithout his Majesties or the Councels orders to that effect And Discharges Mr William Abercrombie Late Minister at Mayboill to preach or exercise any part of his Ministeriall functione uithin this kingdome under the paine of being banished furth of the same And Gives order and warrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh and Keeper of their tolbooth to sett at Liberty furth therof Mr. Charles Kay Mr John Park Mr William Abercrumbie and Mr Alexander Malcolme Late minister at Edinburgh Mr Robert Lockhart Late minister at Kilbryde and Mr David Freebairn Late Minister at Dinning in Perthshire For which this shall be a sufficient warrand to all Concerned
