After the letter was read The Lord Murray said That the King had told him he had been informed that some French ships were sailling towards Scotland and that his majestie had ordored troops from Flanders directly to Scotland as Lykewayes from England if this Kingdome should stand in need of them
The Lord Chancellor reported That the vessells seen from of Peterhead are found to be barks with meall from the north or Fisher boats or dogars
