Act anent horses and Cairts to Captain Sletzer

The Lords of his Majesties privie Councill Doe heirby require and Command the Magistrats of Edinburgh To Cause hyre and provyde threttie three horses at the rates appointed by the Lords of Thesaury And to have them in readines against munday nixt at five hours in the morning And deliver them at the castle of Edinburgh to Captain Sletzer Captain of the artilliary Company To be by him Imployed for transporting of Cannon and amunition to the army Encamped about Dunse And appoints the saids magistrats to provyde these horses aither of Hackney Coach horses or other draught horses And Recommends to the Earle of Lothian shirreff principall of the shire of Edinburgh And Gives order and warrand to the shirreffs Deputs of the said shire to provyde six Cairts from the Countrey for Carrying the forsaid Cannon and amunition and to Delyver them to the said Captain Sletzer the tyme forsaid at the said Castle of Edinburgh To the effect abovewryten The hyre of which horses is to be alloued and payed to the severall persons In manner as the Lords of Thesaury have appointed
