Recomendatione to Mr Frances Montgomery and a Committie anent a meeting at Innersnait

The Lords of his majesties privie Councell Having heard the depositions and examination of John Mcfarlane merchant in Greenock about a meeting said to have been at a place called Innersnait uithin the Lands of Craigroston They heirby Recommend and give full pouer and Commission to Mr Frances Montgomery one of their Lordships oune Number to take tryall anent this matter And for that effect to examine all such persons as he shall think fitt anent the same And particularly The Laird of Luss The Tennents and possessors of the Lands of Innersnait and the Boatmen at Lochlomonth And appoints him to seize upon and apprehend such of these persons as he shall think fitt And particularly the said John Mcfarlane and Hugh Mcgregor servitor to Archbald Grhame alias Mcgrigor of Kilnconan and to send them prisoners to the tolbooth of Edinburgh and to report a particular accompt to the Lords of privy Councell of what he shall find in this matter And nominats and appoints the Lords Advocat Funtainhall and Anstruther and the Laird of Grant to be a Committie for examining Mr William Cochrane of Kilmaronock anent what he knoues in this matter And Declares any three of these to be a Sufficient Quorum And Recommends to them to meet the Morrrow at ten in the forenoon
