Procedure
Report anent Heretors of Renfrew
Sir John Maxuell of Pollock haveing reported to the Councill That by a Letter from the Laird of Glanderstoun Commander of the Heretors in the Shyre of Renfrew That the Heretors of that shyre haveing mett conforme to the Councills proclamatione and haveing randevouzed were frequent but desyred to be solved by the Councill what should be done with the mean and Low Heretors and if the Councill would allow so many of these mean Heretors to be joyned together till their valuatione amongst them doe amount to three or four Hundred pound scots and ordaine so many Heretors amounting to the above valuatione to put out a man amongst them with horse and armes The Councill delayes to give answere to this untill the case as to the whole Kingdome in generall be taken under consideratione
