Ordor anent 350 Recruits at the Ellie
The Lords of his majesties privie Councill being informed that there is a ship driven in to the Ellie wherein they are three Hundred and fiftie of his majesties Recruits and that the ship is in hazard to be […] and therfore it is necessarie the recruits be secured for his majesties service untill they can be conveniently transported to Flanders The said Lords doe therfore Hereby Recomend to the Earle of Leven Governour of the Castle of Edinburgh and Giv’s ordor and warrand to the Inferior officers of the said Castle to receive therinto two Hundred of the said recruits And appoynts Livetenent Collonell Erskine Deputie Governour of the Castle of Stirling and the inferior officers of that Castle, to receive therinto ane hundred and fiftie of the said recruits and detaine the said recruits untill they be called for in ordor to their Transportatione for his majesties service in Flanders.
