Remitt Anent Collectors and Clerks of Supplie in Fifeshire
The Lords of his Majesties privie Councill having Considered a petitione given in to them by Robert Douglas of Strathendrie and John Bayne shirref Clerk of Fife with another petition by James Craufurd of Muntquhany and John Orrock Both pretending right to be Collectors of the present supplie and Clerks to the Commissioners of supplie in Fife shire And the saids four parties Compearing personallie And Sir Patrick Home Sir David Thoirs Mr Walter Pringle and Mr Robert Douglas Compearing as Advocats for the said Robert Douglas of Strathendrie and John Bayne And Mr Hugh Dalrymple Sir Walter Seatoune and Mr Robert Whyte Compearing as Advocats for the saids James Crauford and John Orrock And both parties Lauyers being at Length heard And the saids Lords having at Length heard and Considered this whole affaire They heirby Remitt to the Lords of Counsell and session to determine the point of right in debate betuixt the four parties abovenamed and that Immediatly and once this week without necessity of abyding the Course of the roll And the saids Lords Declared that if the saids Lords of session shall not determine this matter once this week Their Lordships of privy Councill will proceed to decide and determine in the same the week following.
