Liberatione Drummond of Blair etc

Anent the petitione given in to the Lords of his majesties privie Councill by George Drummond of Blair Drumond and Master David Drummond Advocat Shewing That the petitioners have been incarcerat within the Tolbooth of Edinburgh thir severall dayes bygaine as it seems upon suspitione of our haveing accessione to the Lord Drumond’s escape from Stirline and they2 haveing been since examined before a Comittie appoynted by their Lordships The said petitioners hope they have given such satisfactione to them as that they are fully convinced of the petitioners innocencie as to what was Laid to their charge and it being very prejudiciall both to our health and private affairs to continue Longer in prisone And therfore humblie Craveing in maner and to the effect aftermentioned as the said petitione bears The Lords of his Majesties privie Councill haveing Considered the foresaid petitione given in to them by the saids George and Mr David Drummonds They hereby give ordor and warrand to the magistrats of Edinburgh and keeper of their Tolbooth to sett the petitioner George Drummond of Blair at Libertie furth thereof In respect he hes given bond and found sufficent Cautione acted in the books of privie Councill That He shall Live peaceablie under and with all submissione to the present government of his majestie King William and that he shall not act consult nor contryve anything in prejudice nor shall not converse nor correspond with any Rebells and that he shall appear before the said Lords of privie Councill when called for under the penalty of fyve hundred pound sterling money in case he shall transgress in any part of the premisses
