The following letter being read was ordered to be recorded follows the tenor of the Letter sic suprascribitur William Rex Right trusty an right welbeloved Cousin and councillor Right trusty and intirely beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trusty and right welbeloved Cousins and Councillors Right trusty and well beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trusty and welbeloved Councellors and trusty and welbeloved Councillors we greet you well It is our will and pleasure That you take of all Restraint and confynement put upon Sir William Bruce of Kinross He finding sufficient Baill for his Living peaceably under our Government and for his appearing before you when called for or requyred for doeing wherof this shall be your warrant so we bid you heartily farewell Given at our Court at Kensingtoune the fyfteen day of January 1695/6 and of our reigne the 7th year 2 By his Majesties Command sic subscribitur J Johnstoune.
