Anent the petitione given in to the Lords of his majesties privy Councill by David Viscount of Stormont Shewing that where the petitioner hes with all deference and due respect to the Goverment Lived quietlie and peaceablie under his confynement at his owne house and elsewhere for these three years past or thereby notwithstanding his said Confynement hes been extreamlie hurtfull and prejudiciall to his privat affaires and interests and particularly his Estate lyeing discontiguous and at remote distances viz Pearth Fyfe Angus and Annandale which by his absence in not attending personallie the seperat interets and Concerns therof hes been much prejudged and his rent therein greatlie diminished to his great Loss and the said petitioner Haveing alwayes Lived peaceably and quietly with all due respect to the Government and is content upon their Lordships takeing of his Confynment to find Cautione not only to Live peaceablie in tyme comeing but to answere when called for and therfore Humblie Craveing in maner and to the effect aftermentioned as the said petitione bears The Lords of his Majesties privy Councill haveing considered the foresaid petitione given in to them by the said Viscount of Stormonth They doe Hereby take of the Confynement under which the said petitioner lyes and declairs him quyt therof and allowes him to be at Liberty to goe about his affaires as any other of his majesties free Leidges In respect he hes given bond and found sufficient Cautione acted in the books of privy Councill That He shall live peaceablie under and with all submissione to the present government of his majestie King William and that he shall not act consult or contryve any thing in prejudice thereof nor shall not converse or correspond with any Rebells and that he shall appear before the said Lords of privie Councill when called for under the penalty of one thousand and fyve Hundred pound sterline in Caise He shall transgress in any part of the premisses and upon granting this new bond ordaines the Clerk of privie Councill to give up any former bonds granted by the said Viscount or his Cautioners which are in their Hands.
