Committee anent the Toun of Haddingtoun

The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Doe hereby add to the former Committie appointed to Consider her Majesties Letter to the Councill anent the heritors and inhabitants within the parochin of Haddingtoune; And the double of the adress by the said heritors and Inhabitants to the Queen, The Earle of Northesk; Lord advocat, Lord Halcraig, Mr Francis Montgomry and the Lord Provest of Edinburgh, And Recommends to the said Committie to meet Munday nixt at two a Cloak afternoon and Continues the quorum as formerly With power to the said Committee to cause their macers cite Patrick Cockburn of Clerkingtoune Robert Hepburne of Berrford, Sir John Hay of Alderstoune, Louis Hay Sone to Aberlady; The provest and baillies of Haddingtoune Patrick Hepburne in Abbay Milne; David Maxwell Master of the wooll Manufactory at Newmilnes Charles Maitland Macer of Session and […] Baillie of Manerhall one of the Captains of her Majesties horss guards or any other persones they think fitt to appear before the saids Lords of the Committie from time to time as they shall think fitt.

Proclamation for Adjourning the Parliament

Proclamation for adjourning the parliament in the termes of her majesties Letter being Read; The samen was Signed and ordained to be published printed and Recorded wherof the tenor followes.
Anne By the Grace of God Queen of great Brittain France and Ireland defender of the faith To our Lyon King at armes, his bretheren heraulds macers of our privy Councill; pursevants, messingers at armes our Shirreffs in that pairt Conjunctllie and Severally Specially Constitut Greetting Forasmuchas the Circumstance of our affairs Doe Requyre a further delay of the meetting of our Parliament of this our ancient Kingdome of Scotland than to the sixteinth of this instant Moneth of December to which it was Last adjourned and that the members may not be put to unnecessary trouble and attendance at that day, Therfore Wee with advice of the Lords of our privy Councill Have adjourned and hereby Adjourn our said Current parliament from the said sixteinth day of December instant to the Twentie Second day of February nixt to come; Requyring hereby all the members therof to attend at Edinburgh the said day in the usuall maner and under the accustomed Certificationes by Law appointed. Our Will is Herefore and wee Charge yow Strictly and Command That incontinent thir our Letters seen ye pass to the marcat Cross of Edinburgh and to the Marcat Crosses of the remanent head burghes of the Severall Shyres and Stewartries within this our ancient kingdom2 and therat in our name and authoritie make publict intimatione That our said Parliament is adjourned to the said Twentie Second day of February nixt to come and Ordaines these presents to be printed and published.

Sic Supra Scribitur Anne Regina,
Right Trustie and Right well beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trustie and intirely beloved Cousins and Councellors Right trustie and well beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trustie and well beloved Councillors, And trustie and well beloved Councillors Wee greet yow well, Wheras the Circumstances of our affairs doe Requyre a further delay of the Meetting of our Parliament of that our ancient Kingdome than to the Sixteinth day of this instant December to which it wer Last adjourned, That the members may not be put to unnecessary attendance; It is Our Will and Pleasure and Wee do hereby Authorize and Requyre yow to Issue furth a proclamation in our name adjourning our Current parliament from the said Sixteinth day of December instant to the twenty second day of February nixt therafter, And Ordering all the Members to attend that day at the usuall place and upon the accustomed Certificationes, For doeing Wherof, This shall be to yow a sufficient Warrant And So Wee bid yow heartily farewell, Given at our Court at St James’s the Fourth day of December 1703 and of our Reign the second year.
