Approbatione of what is done Against persones under Bale

Their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privie Counsell Doe Heirby approve of Sir James Steuart their Majesties Advocat and Sir James Ogilvie their Majesties Sollicitor their raising Letters and Causing execute the same upon a verball Command from the said Lord High Commissioner Against the severall persons principalls and Cautioners in the bonds contained in a list Given be their Majesties Advocat and of the Clarks of privie Councell their subscribing and Giving out these Letters And Recommends to their Majesties Advocat and appoyntes their Majesties sollicitor to proceed in causing execute the saids Letters

Warrand superceeding the denunciatione of Langtoune and Cockburne

Their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privie Counsell Being Informed that Sir Archibald Cockburne elder of Langtoune and William Cockburne younger of that ilk are charged upon the bond as Cautioners for Archibald Cockburne younger of Langtoune To produce the said Archibald before the Lords of privy Councell They In respect of the Nottarietie of the said Archibald Cockburne younger of Langtoune his being furth of this realme Doe heirby Recommend to their Majesties Advocat and Gives ordor to their Majesties Sollicitor to Cause the said Archibald upon three score dayes In the Commone forme to appear before the Councell If he be not already charged for that effect And In the meantyme stopps any denunciatione Against the saids Cautioners untill the dayes in the charge given or to be Given to the said principall be elapsed and outrun

The which day Andrew Baird son to Sir Robert Baird of Sauchtounehall and Thomas Mcbraer Induellar in the Abbay who are under bale before the Lords of privie Councell That they shall Live peacably under their Majesties government and appear before the privy Councell when called for Being Charged upon their bond to appear as said is And Having appeared accordingly And having refuised to suear and signe the oath of alleadgance and signe the assurance to their Majesties King William and Queen Mary appoynted by Act of parliament Their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privie Counsell Doe Heirby Give ordor and uarrand to the Macers of privy Counsell to Carry them prisoners to the tolbooth of the Cannongate ther to remaine till farder ordor of Counsell And Recommends to Sir James Steuart their Majesties advocat, to raise and prosecute a Criminall Indytment Before the Lords Commissioners of Justiciarie Against the said Andrew Baird for his being in Armes with the rebells Against their Majesties and the Government

The which day Patrick Bell merchant in Glasgow who is under bale before the Lords of privie Councell That He shall Live peacably under their Majesties government and appear before the Councell when called for Being charged upon his bond to appear as said is And Having appeared accordingly And Having refuised to suear and signe the oath of alleadgance and signe the assurance appoynted by Act of parliament to their Majesties King William and Queen Mary Their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privie Councell doe heirby Confyne the said Patrick Bell to the toune of Haddingtoune To remaine therein and not goe furth therof uithout their speciall uarrand for that effect And appoyntes the Macers of Councell to detaine him prisoner untill he Give bond and find sufficient Cautione acted in the books of privy Councell That he shall repaire to his said Confynment and observe and keep the same uithin fourtie Eight houres after the date heirof and that he shall Live peacably in the Commone forme and appear when called for under the penaltie of six thousand merks contained in his former bond And ordaines him to find other Cautione then Robert Pollock of that ilk his former Cautioner In respect He is a present officer of their Majesties forces And upon receaving of this new bond appoyntes the Clarks of Councell to Give up the former Bond

Warrand for transporting Gairletoun from Edinburgh to Blackness

The which day Sir George Seatoune of Gairletoune who is under bale before the privie Councell That he shall Live peacably under their Majesties government and appear before the Councell when called for Being charged upon his bond to appear as said is And Having appeared accordingly And Having refuised to suear and signe the oath of alleadgance and signe the assurance to their Majesties appoynted by Act of parliament Their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privie Councell Doe heirby ordaine the said Sir George Seatoune to be Carryed prisoner to the tolbooth of Edinburgh not only for refusing the oath of alleadgance and assurance But lykewayes that it is Informed That he hes corresponded uith their Majesties declared rebells And Recommends to Sir Thomas Livingstoune Commander in cheiff of their Majesties forces uithin this kingdome To Cause Convoy the persone of the said Sir George under a sufficient Guaird from the said tolbooth to the castle of Blackness ther to remaine prisoner till farder ordor And ordaines the Magistrats of Edinburgh and keeper of their tolbooth to delyver him to the said Guaird And Recommends to the Earle of Linlithgow And In his absence ordaines the deputy Governour of the said castle or nixt Commanding officer ther to receave him from the said guaird For which this shall be a sufficient uarrand to all persones concerned

The which day Robert Viscount of Oxenfoord Having [compeared] who is under bale before the Lords of privie Councell That He shall Live peacably under their Majesties Government and appear before the Councell when called for Being charged upon his bond to appear as said is And Having appeared accordingly And Having refused to suear and signe the oath of alleadgance and signe the Assurance to their Majesties King William and Queen Mary appoynted by Act of parliament Their Majesties High Commissioner and Lords of privy Councell Doe heirby ordaine the said Robert Viscount of Oxfoord to Enter himself prisoner In the castle of Stirling once before elapsing of Satturnday the third day of June nixt to Come And appoyntes the macers of privie Councell to detaine him prisoner untill he Give bond and finding sufficient Cautione acted in the books of privie Councell That he shall enter the said castle the tyme forsaid And in the mean tyme that He shall live peacably under their Majesties government King William and Queen Mary And that he shall not act consult nor contryve any thing in prejudice therof nor shall not converss or Correspond uith rebells under the penaltie of Tuenty Thousand merks scotts money contained in his former bond In caise He shall transgress In any part of the premisses And upon receaving of a new bond appoyntes the Clarks of privie Councell to Give up the former bond

The Seamen to be offered by way of Instrument

The Lord High Commissioner acquanted the Councell That his Grace is Informed that the Commander of the Centurione now lying in the road of Leith and who should have receaved the seamen from this kingdome Hes refused to receave the same And Mr William Erskine who had been ordored by the parliament to Levy the seamen being Called In The Councell ordored him to Carry the seamen he hes in readiness to the Centurione and make offer of them to the Captaine Commander of that shipp By a nottar and take Instruments upon his offer and the ansuer which shall be made thereto and report to the Councell
