The Lord High Chancelor Having acquanted the Councell That his majestie by a Letter to his Lordship Hes signified his royall pleasure That his Lordship procure Liberty to John Lord Ballenden and Mr William Livingstoune of Kilsyth provyding they Ingage to Leave the three Kingdoms and not returne uithout his Majesties permissione They heirby ordaine the said Lord Ballenden and Mr William Livingstoune to be at Liberty And Recommend to the Earle of Leven Governour of the Castle of Edinburgh and in his absence Gives order and warrand to the deputy Governour or other Commanding officer ther To sett at Libertie furth therof the said Lord Ballenden and Mr William Livingstoune In respect they before their Liberatione have Given bond and found sufficient Cautione acted in the books of privie Councell That they shall depairt out of their majesties Kingdoms by sea from Scotland And that betuixt and the tenth of June nixt and never returne therto without their majesties speciall warrand or permission for that effect Each of them under the penalty of one Thousand pounds sterling a peice In caise they transgress in any pairt of the premisses And in the mean tyme That they shall Live peacably under and uith all submission to the present government of their majesties King William [and Queen Mary] and that they shall not Act Consult nor Contryve any thing In prejudice therof nor Converss or Correspond uith any rebells And that under the penalties forsaids
