[Proclamation for adjourning parliament]

Proclamation for Adjourning the Parliament Read and Signed by a quorum of Councill and ordered to be printed published and Recorded wherof the tenor followes.
Anne By the Grace of God Queen of Great Brittain France and Ireland defender of the faith, To our Lyon King at armes his bretheren heraulds, Macers of our privy Councill, pursevants, messingers at armes, Our Shiriffs in that part Conjunctlie and severallie speciallie Constitute Greetting Forasmuchas the Circumstances of our affairs doe Require a furder delay of the meetting of our parliament of this our ancient Kingdome of Scotland, then the twelth day of October instant to which it stands by our authority adjourned Therfore Wee with the advice of the Lords of our privy Councill Have Adjourned and hereby Adjourn our said Current parliament from the said Twelth day of October instant to the Sixteinth day of December nixt to come, Requyreing hereby all the members therof to attend at Edinburgh the said day in the usuall maner and under the accustomed Certificationes by Law appointed Our Will is heirfore and wee charge yow straitly and Command that incontinent thir our Letters seen yee pass to the Marcat cross of Edinburgh and to the Marcat Crosses of the remanent head burghs of the severall Shyres and Stewartries within this our ancient kingdom And there in our name and authority make publict intimation that our said parliament is adjourned to the said sixteinth day of December nixt to come and Ordaines these presents to be printed and published.

Right Trustie and Right weell beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trustie and intirely beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trustie and well beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trustie and well beloved Councillors, Wee Greet yow weell, Wheras the Circumstances of our affairs Doe Requyre a farder delay of the meetting of our parliament of that our ancient Kingdome then to the Twelth day of October nixt to which it Stands now by our authority adjourned, Wee are Therfore Resolved to Continue the said adjournment from the said 12th day of October to the Sixteinth day of December nixt And that the members of Parliament may not be put to the trouble and charge of meetting upon the said 12th day of October, It is our will and pleasure And wee hereby authorize and Requyre yow to Issue furth a proclamation in our name ordering a further continuance of the adjournment of our parliament to the said Sixtein day of December nixt; And Requyreing all the members therof to attend that day at Edinburgh in the usuall way and Under the accustomed Certificationes for doeing wherof this shall be your warrant and so wee bid yow heartily farewell, Given at our Court at Bath the 27 September 1703 and of our reign the Second year, By her Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur David Nairne.

Proclamation for Adjourning the parliament to the 6th Aprile nixt

Anne by the Grace of God Queen of Great Brittain France and Ireland defender of the faith To […] our Lyon king at armes; his bretheren heraulds, macers of our privy Councill Pursevants messengers at armes our Shirriffs in that part Conjunctllie and Severallie Specially Constitute Greeting. Forasmuchas In Consideration of the Just and necessary warr; wherin wee are at present engadged; And of the treaty of Union betwixt our kingdomes of Scotland and England In pursuance of acts past in the parliaments of these our kingdomes wee judge it necessary Ther should be a parliament in being to meet on Such Occasiones as may requyre; And Therfore thought fitt by our proclamation of the twentie fifth day of August Last to call a parliament of that our ancient kingdome to meet at our City of Edinburgh upon the Twelth day of November nixt requyreing and Commanding all concerned to be ready and attend our said parliament in the usuall forme and wee Considering that in many respects it may be convenient to deferr the said meetting; and particularly that the setting on foot and carieing on the said Treatie of Union toward a happie conclusion to be reported to our said parliament will need a longer time then the day abovementioned; Therfore wee with advice of the Lords of our privy Councill have Adjourned and hereby Adjournes the meetting of our said parliament from the said Twelth day of November nixt to the sixth day of Aprill nixt therafter Commanding and Chargeing hereby, all noblemen officers of State and Commissioners of Shyres and Burghs to attend the Meetting of our parliament the forsaid sixth day of Aprill nixt to come; to which it is adjourned in the usuall way and upon the accustomed certificationes and under the paines contained in our Lawes made theranent. Hewgh Cuningham present Lord provest of Edinburgh Conforme to the Commission of privy Councill dated the Twentie first day of October Jaj viic nyntie eight years Appointing the provest of Edinburgh for the time to be a privy Councillor was called in and haveing sworne the Oath of alledgance and Signeing the Same with the assurance and the oath de fideli being administrat to him He was received a Councillor and accordingly took his place at the board.
