Letter from the Queen to the Councill for Adjourneing the parliament Read and ordered to be Recorded wherof the tenor followes.
Sic Supra Scribitur Anne Regina
Right Trustie and Right weell beloved Cousin and Councillor Right trustie and intirely beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trustie and well beloved Cousins and Councillors Right trustie and well beloved Councillors, Wee Greet yow weell, Wheras the Circumstances of our affairs Doe Requyre a farder delay of the meetting of our parliament of that our ancient Kingdome then to the Twelth day of October nixt to which it Stands now by our authority adjourned, Wee are Therfore Resolved to Continue the said adjournment from the said 12th day of October to the Sixteinth day of December nixt And that the members of Parliament may not be put to the trouble and charge of meetting upon the said 12th day of October, It is our will and pleasure And wee hereby authorize and Requyre yow to Issue furth a proclamation in our name ordering a further continuance of the adjournment of our parliament to the said Sixtein day of December nixt; And Requyreing all the members therof to attend that day at Edinburgh in the usuall way and Under the accustomed Certificationes for doeing wherof this shall be your warrant and so wee bid yow heartily farewell, Given at our Court at Bath the 27 September 1703 and of our reign the Second year, By her Majesties Command Sic Subscribitur David Nairne.
