Warrand for Transporting some Women and Boyes to the Plantationes

Sir James Stewart her Majesties advocat Haveing Represent to the Board, That ther were Seaverall women and boyes Comon whores and theives Lying in the Tolbooths of Edinburgh and Cannogate, and that they were all willing to goe abroad to her Majesties plantationes in America Conforme to their Subscrybed Consent given before a magistrat Lying in the Clerks hands which accordingly was read in Councill and after Some debate theranent The Lords of her Majesties privy Councill Allowed and hereby Allows John Russell Merchant in Edinburgh to Transport to her Majesties plantationes in America the persones whose names are Contained in the lists given in to the Clerks of Councill and as after followes Viz William Mcgrigor James Millar and Elizabeth Gordon all prisoners within the Tolbooth of Edinburgh, Robers and theives, Duncan Campbell born in Inverary; James Herd born in Stentoune in the paroch of Kinglassie in Fyfe, Alexander Smith born in the paroch of Craffy in Stirling Shyre, John Robertsone in Killbryde in Lorne Shyre and Elizabeth Forbes born in the City of Edinburgh all Comon Theives and whores prisoners in the Cannogate Tolbooth Mary Atchison, Anna Mcintosh, Hellen Eglingtoun Christian Gregg; Eupham Nairn, Jannet Syme Jean Mcgrigor Jannet Hutton; Mary Leckie Issobell Crafurd and John Thomson all prisoners within the Correction house of Edinburgh, James Forrest born in Musleburgh, In Respect before Extracting hereof the said John Russell hath given bond and found Sufficient Caution acted in the books of privy Councill That he shall not Cary away nor transport any other persones Except these abovementioned whose names are Contained in the saids Lists to her Majesties plantations in Ammerica and tht under the penaltie of One Hundred pounds Sterling in caice he transgress the premisses And Ordaines the saids Magistrates of Edinburgh and Cannogate and keepers of their Tolbooth to delyver the fornamed persones to the said John Russell to be by him transported as said is upon his recept to be given for them.
