Recommendation To Livt Generall Ramsay anent forces to be sent to quarter on the western Coasts to hinder the Importation of Irish victuall, horses etc

His Grace her Majesties high Commissioner and the Lords of her Majesties privy Councill, Doe hereby Recommend to Livetenent Generall George Ramsay Commander in Cheif of her Majesties forces to Send from time to time such a detatchment of Souldiers foott and dragouns (not exceeding sixtie in number) duely Commanded by officers proper for that effect and to be quartered upon the western Coasts of Scotland at the most convenient places betwixt Dumfrees and the Sound of Mull for assisting and fortifieing the Legall execution of the Commission granted to Mr Patrick Ogilvie of Cairnes for hindering the Importation of Irish victuall Beiff horss, Mares kyne and other Cattell from the kingdome of Ireland; and to give ready obedience to the orders and advertisments to be sent to the saids officers from time to time by the said Mr Patrick Ogilvie to the effect forsaid.
