Act In Favors of the Tenants of Culforgie
The Lords of their Majesties privy Councill haveing Considered the accompts given in to them as resting be their majesties forces to the tennents of Mr Mathew Moncreiff of Culforgie with the instructiones and verificationes therof Togither with the Report of the Committie appoynted for Reviseing the accompts resting by their majesties forces to the Countrey, And who have particularly revised their accompt They Find the haill articles of the said accompt suficiently verified and proven be the oathes and Depositiones of the saids tennents taken before two of the Commissioners of Supply within the said shyre of Pearth Conform to the Report of the saids Commissioners subscryved by them and produced to the saids Lords and Finds that they are two articles of the said accompt given up as resting to the Laird of Nynholls troop of Dragoons in the Lord Cardross regiment Which staits each Dragoon at eight shilling scots per die Wheras the former pracise and order of Councill Is to allow for each scots Dragoon only six pence per diem And Finds that conforme to the said accompt and instructions therof forsaids after the articles anent the saids Dragoons are restricted to six shilling per diem for each Dragoon Ther will be resting by their majesties forces to the saids tenants of Culforgie as they are stated in Troops or regiments in maner underwritten The soumes following viz Be the said Laird of Nynholls his troop of Dragoons in the said Lord Cardross his regiment the soume of nyne punds scots Item be the Lord Angus his Regiment twentie Eight pund thretein shilling scots money Item be the Earle of Argyll his Regiment fourtie Eight pund Eight shilling, Item be the Laird of Grubit his troop seven pund scots money And Extending the haill soumes forsaids resting be ther majesties forces abovenamed to the soume of nyntie thrie punds one shilling scots money forsaid And the saids Lords Finds that the haill articles quherof the soume is made up ware all furnished before the act of Parliament of the date the tenth day of September Jaj vjc nyntie and2 […] years, Appointing thrie moneths cess and hearth money for payment of the Soumes resting be their majesties forces to the Countrey, And bygone arreirs due to the armie And that the saids articles are all in the termes of the act of Councill of the date the nynth day of Jully last bypast And Finds that the saids soume of Nyntie thrie punds one shilling scots money forsaid Is to be payed to the saids tennants of Culforgie out of the saids thrie moneths cess and herth money appoynted by the forsaid act of Parliament And the saids Lords Recomends the saids tennants to the Lords of their majesties thesaurie for payment of the same to them accordingly.
