The Lords of their majesties privy Councill doe heirby Recomend to Sir William Lockhart their majesties Solicitor to examine […] Moss one of the souldiers of the castle of Edinburgh in whose house severalls of the party who were with Ensigne Campbell at Broughtoune when Thomas Pickett was killed ther hade been drinking, what he knowes anent the murder of the said Thomas Pickett and what persones were present with the said Ensigne Campbell at the Comitting of the said murder.
