Warrand for seizing James Cockburns papers

The Lords of there majestyes privie Councill doe hereby authorize and give warrand to the Lord Cardross and Sir John Maxwell of Polloque to seize upon seall up and Carry to the Councill chamber the haill wreitts and papers pertaining to and in the Custodie of James Cockburne Goldsmith in Edinburgh wherever the samen are and to make open chists Cabinetts and other Lockfast Irons for that effect

Warrant for seizing James Cockburn’s papers

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby authorise and give warrant to the Lord Cardross and Sir John Maxwell of Pollock to seize, seal up and carry to the council chamber all the writs and papers pertaining to and in the custody of James Cockburn, goldsmith in Edinburgh, wherever the same are and to open chests, cabinets and other locked irons for that effect.
