Liberation Livingstoun of Kilsyth
Anent the petitione Given in to the Lords of there majestyes privie Councill be Mr William Livingston of Kilsyth Shewing That whereas the petitioner after a Long Imprisonement haveing in Apryll Last obtained Leave of the saids Lords to goe to the Countrie about his Lawfull effairs on his finding Cautione for his peaceable behaviour and submission to the present government And to returne to the toun of Edinburgh again the first Thursday of Jullij instant But being Citted before there Lordships in the beginning of Junij last and again dismissed on continowing his former baill wes nevertheless on the tenth of the said moneth made prisoner and Confyned to his Lodgings in the toun of Edinburgh under Centinells where he does still remaine And being altogether free of the Least abuse of the Liberty formerly granted to him by the saids Lords Therefore Craveing that the saids Lords would be pleased to take off his present restraint he being most willing to find Cautione as formerly and to ansuer when there Lordships shall appoint as the said petitione bears The Saids Lords of there majesties privie Councill haveing considered this petitione given in to them be the within Mr William Livingstoun of Kilsyth They hereby give order and warrand to the Captain of the toun of Edinburghs Company of guairds to allow the petitioner to goe abroad under the guaird of a single Centinell within the toun of Edinburgh and suburbs thereof In respect the petitioner hes found sufficient Caution acted in the books of privie Councill That he shall Live peaceablie and with all submissione under the Government of there majestyes King William and Queen Mary And that he shall not act consult nor contryve any thing In prejudice thereof Nor converse nor Correspond with rebells And that he shall keep his said Confynement And not depairt without the said toun of Edinburgh and suburbs thereof And that he shall appear before the Lords of privie Councill when called for under the penalty of Ane Thousand and Fyve Hundreth pound Sterling In case he transgress in any pairt of the premises And upon recept Grants warrands to the Clerks to give up the old bonds
