Edinburgh the fiftein day of November Jaj vjc nyntie two years

Anent a Petition given in to the Lords of their Majesties privy Councill be William and James Walkinshawes merchants in Glasgow Shewing That quheras upon a petition formerly given in be the petitioners and the tacksmen of ther majesties Customes for their intrest to the saids Lords against Heugh Campbell Captaine of the privateer Called the Elizabeth of Argyll for the delivery back of ane ship and loadning belonging to the petitioner That the saids Hew Campbell hade brought up The Saids Lords did ordaine the said Hew Campbell to deliver back the ship to the petitioners and that In respect they hade found Caution to make the said ship and Cargo furthcomeing to all concerned and upon a second applicatione made be the petitioners. The said Lords Ordained the said Heugh Campbell upon Sight of the act To deliver back the said ship with the Crew Seamen and loadning, The petitioners haveing found Cautione that the Skiper, mate and Crew of the Ship Should appear before the Saids Lords Under the paine of fiftie punds sterling for each of the said skiper and mate a peice and twentie punds sterling for each of the Crew a peice, And now seing that the said Hew Campbell being Conscious to himself that ther was no ground for seizing and bringing up the said ship, And that the Countes of Argyll as factor for the Earle her husband to whom the privateer belongs has given bond to the petitioners for delivering back of the ship and loadning conforme to the saids Lords former orders And Therfore Humbly Craveing the saids Lords To ordaine the petitioners bond and Cautione to make the ship and Cargo furthcomeing to all concerned laid the other bond for presenting the Skiper mate, and Crew of the Ship before the saids Lords to be delivered up to the petitioners and they are content that any proces before the saids Lords at the petitioners instance be sisted an Discharged, As the petitione bears The Lords of their majesties privy Councill haveing Considered this petitione given in to them be the above William and James Walkinshawes They heirby give order and warrand to their Clerk to deliver up to the petitioners the two above bonds upon the recept of them or either of them.
