Act for transporting John Herron from Edinburgh to Leith

The Lords of there Majesties privie Councill doe hereby give order and warrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh and Keeper of there tolbooth to transport the persone of John Herron in Kirkmacho paroch in Nithsdaill shyre prisoner presently in the said tolbooth for alleadged [being] at the publishing of a disloyall paper or declaratione Lately published at the mercat croce of Sanquhar under a sufficient guaird to the tolbooth of Leith And appoints the saids Magistrats of Edinburgh Bailzies of Leith and Keeper of there tolbooth to receave the said John Herron into there tolbooth and keep and detain him prisoner therein till further order.

The lords of their majesties’ privy council hereby give order and warrant to the magistrates of Edinburgh and keeper of their tolbooth to transport the person of John Herron in Kirkmahoe parish in Nithsdale shire, prisoner presently in the said tolbooth for allegedly [being] at the publishing of a disloyal paper or declaration lately published at the mercat cross of Sanquhar under a sufficient guard to the tolbooth of Leith, and they appoint the said magistrates of Edinburgh, bailies of Leith and keeper of their tolbooth to receive the said John Herron into their tolbooth and keep and detain him prisoner therein till further order.
