Act Mr William Mckay for stipend.

Anent the petitione given in to the Lords of there majestyes privie Councill be Mr William Mckay minister at Dornock Shewing That the petitioner upon the unanimous Call of the heretors and pariochiners of the pariochine of Dornock wes entered to the said church at mertimes Jaj vjc and nyntie and actually admitted thereto where he hes ever since Continued preaching and serving the Cure thereat as ane testificat and declaratione under the hands of the heretors Elders and pariochiners of the said paroch produced with the said petitione Together with there Call hes testified and the saids heretors being most willing to pay the petitioner there wholl stipend2 with the duetyes and Emoluments used and wont to be payed be them and there predicessors to the ministers serving the Cure at the said kirk as there consent Likewayes therewith produced bearing there willingnes to doe the same hes testifyed And therefore Craveing that the saids Lords would be pleased In Consideration that [the] petitioner hes no decreet of Locality but use and custome for the stipend To grant and authorize the heretors Lyfrenters tennents and tacksmen Lyable and in use of payment of the stipend due and payable furth of the said pariochine to the ministers serving the Cure at the said kirk To make payment to the petitioner of the said stipend both parsonadge and vicaradge with the haill duetyes and emoluments due and payable be them for the year Jaj vjc and nyntie one and in tyme comeing dureing his service of the cure thereat And to grant warrand for horning at the petitioners instance upon any one of them for the same As the said petitione bears The Saids Lords of there majesties privie Councill Haveing considered this petitione given in to them be the above Mr William Mckay with the testificat declaration and call produced therewith They Find the petitioner hes right to the stipend of the above Kirk of Dornoch for the haill cropt and year of God Jaj vjc nyntie one and in tyme comeing dureing his service at the Cure and ordaines him to be readiely ansuered obeyed and payed thereof be the heretors fewers Lyfrenters titulars tacksmen of teynds tennents possessors and others Lyable in payment of the samen and ordaines Letters of horning to be direct at his instance againest them for that effect upon productione of a decreet of Locality and in case there be non ordaines these Lyable To make payment of there respective proportiones according as the samen shall be decerned be the Judge ordinary In respect the petitioner hes given in to the Clerks of Councill ane obleidgment subscryved by him Binding and obleidgeing himself That for the future he shall pray for there majesties King William and Queen3 Mary as King and Queen of this Realme

Act for Mr William Mckay for stipend.

Concerning the petition given in to the lords of their majesties’ privy council by Mr William McKay, minister at Dornock shewing that the petitioner, upon the unanimous call of the heritors and parishioners of the parish of Dornock was entered to the said church at Martinmas 1690 and actually admitted thereto, where he has ever since continued preaching and serving the cure thereat as a certificate and declaration under the hands of the heritors, elders and parishioners of the said parish produced with the said petition, together with their call have testified; and the said heritors, being most willing to pay the petitioner their whole stipend with the duties and emoluments used and wont to be paid by them and their predecessors to the ministers serving the cure at the said kirk, as their consent likewise therewith produced bearing their willingness to do the same has testified, and therefore craving that the said lords would be pleased in consideration that [the] petitioner has no decreet of locality but use and custom for the stipend, to grant and authorize the heritors, liferenters, tenants and tacksmen liable and in use of payment of the stipend due and payable furth of the said parish to the ministers serving the cure at the said kirk to make payment to the petitioner of the said stipend both parsonage and vicarage, with the whole duties and emoluments due and payable by them for 1691 and in time coming during his service of the cure thereat, and to grant warrant for horning at the petitioner’s instance upon any one of them for the same, as the said petition bears. The said lords of their majesties’ privy council, having considered this petition given in to them by the above Mr William McKay with the certificate, declaration and call produced therewith, they find the petitioner has right to the stipend of the above kirk of Dornoch for the whole crop and year of God 1691 and in time coming during his service at the cure and they ordains him to be readily answered, obeyed and paid thereof by the heritors, feuars, liferenters, titulars, tacksmen of teinds, tenants, possessors and others liable in payment of the same and they ordain letters of horning to be directed at his instance against them for that effect upon production of a decreet of locality, and in case there is none, they ordain those liable to make payment of their respective proportions as the same shall be discerned by the judge ordinary, in respect the petitioner has given in to the clerks of council an obligation subscribed by him binding and obliging himself that for the future he shall pray for their majesties King William and Queen Mary as king and queen of this realm.
