As also to ordain the said David Baxter, Margaret Villain, Mr John and David Malcome who were tenants and possessors of the said glebe for the crop 1689 to make payment to the petitioner of the ferme of the said glebe set by the petitioner to them, being nine bolls of bere, and to discharge Mr Thomas Arnot, present minister at Cupar, from troubling the petitioner in uplifting the said manse mail or the ferme of the said glebe the crop and year of God foresaid, or the distressing of the magistrates or remnant persons abovenamed liable in payment to the petitioner of the same. And for that effect to grant letters of horning as the said petition bears. The said lords of their majesties’ privy council having considered this petition given in to them by the above Mr Alexander Lundie, they hereby ordain the magistrates of Cupar of Fife to make payment to the petitioner of the sum of one hundred pounds Scots, which is the sum they are liable [for] and in use of payment to the minister serving the cure at that kirk as the mail of the above manse, and ordain David Baxter, Margaret Villand, Mr John and David Malcolm, who were tenants and possessors of the above glebe for the crop 1689 to make payment to the petitioner of the ferme of the said glebe set by the petitioner to them, being nine bolls of bere, and discharge Mr Thomas Arnott, present minister at Cupar, from troubling the petitioner in uplifting the said manse mail or the ferme of the said glebe the crop and year of God foresaid, or the distressing of the magistrates or remnant persons abovenamed liable in payment to the petitioner of the same.
