Liberatione Alexander Hutcheon

The Lords of their Majesties privie Councell Doe heirby Give ordor and warrand to the Magistrats of Edinburgh Baillies of the Cannongate and Keeper of the tolbooth therof To sett at Libertie Alexander Hutcheon servitor to Luduvick Grant of that ilk presentlie prisoner therin to serve his master and attend his affairs as any other of his Majesties Leidges In respect that upon examinatione taken by a Committie of their Lordships Number and reported to them The saids Lords Finds That the said Alexander did not legally Ingadge or take on as a souldier for Flanders in their Majesties service And that he was Incarcerat upon that alone pretence

Liberation of Alexander Hutcheon

The lords of their majesties’ privy council do hereby give order and warrant to the magistrates of Edinburgh, baillies of the Canongate and keeper of the tolbooth thereof, to set at liberty Alexander Hutcheon, servant to Ludovic Grant of that ilk, presently prisoner therein, to serve his master and attend his affairs as any other of his majesty’s leges, in respect that upon examination taken by a committee of their lordships number and reported to them, the said lords find that the said Alexander did not legally engage or take on as a soldier for Flanders in their majesties’ service, and that he was incarcerated upon that alone pretence.
