Act Heritors of Callender of Monteath for stipend

Anent the petition Given in to the Lords of there Majestyes privie Counsell be James Campbell of Kerrioch and Remanent heretors of the parochine of callendar of Monteath Shewing That where ther are many Impetuous waters wanting bridges within the said paroch such as the River of Teith and others And that by the Lawes and acts of parliament made thereanent the vaicand stipends of each paroch are appointed for such lyke pious uses within the severall paroshes And the stipend of the said Kirk and paroch of Kallender being vacant and undisposed of for the one half of the cropt and year Jaj vjc [nyntie] one and being at there Lordships disposeall as of there Majestyes patronadge And therefore Craveing to the effect underwreitten as the said petition bears The saids Lords of there Majestyes privie Counsell haveing Considered this petition Given in to them be the above James Campbell of Kerrioch and remanent heretors of the above paroch of Callender of Monteath They hereby allow to the petitioners the stipend of the above kirk of Callendar for the last half of the cropt and year of God Jaj vjc and Nyntie one To be Imployed for the pious2 above mentioned And Nominates and appoints the said James Campbell of Kerrioch petitioner To be factor for uplifting of the said half year stipend and ordaines him to be readiely ansuered obeyed thereof be the heretors fewers wodsetters Lyfrenters fermorers titulars tacksmen of teynds tennents possessors and others Lyable in payment of the said stipend for the said last half of the year Jaj vjc nyntie one And ordaines Letters of horning to be direct hereon at the instance of the said factor He prroduceing a decreet of Locality and in case there be non ordaines the heretors and others for saids Lyable in payment of the said stipend To make payment thereof to the said factor for the said half year According as shall be decerned be the Judge ordinarie In respect said factor hes found sufficient Caution acted in the books of privie Counsell That he shall Imploy the said half years stipend for the ends and uses forsaids

Act heritors of Callander of Menteith for stipend

Concerning the petition given in to the lords of their majesties’ privy council by James Campbell of Kerrioch and Remanent heritors of the parish of Callander of Menteith, showing that where there are many impetuous waters wanting bridges within the said parish such as the River of Teith and others, and that by the laws and acts of parliament made thereanent the vacant stipends of each parish are appointed for suchlike pious uses within the several parishes, and the stipend of the said kirk and parish of Callander being vacant and undisposed of for the one half of the crop and year 1691 and being at their lordships’ disposal as of their majesties’ patronage, and therefore craving to the effect underwritten as the said petition bears. The said lords of their majesties’ privy council having considered this petition given in to them by the above James Campbell of Kerrioch and remanent heritors of the above parish of Callander of Menteith, they hereby allow to the petitioners the stipend of the above kirk of Callander for the last half of the crop and year of God 1691 to be employed for the pious uses abovementioned, and nominate and appoint the said James Campbell of Kerrioch petitioner to be factor for uplifting of the said half year stipend, and ordain him to be readily answered, obeyed thereof by the heritors, feuers, wadsetters, liferenters, fermerers, titulars, tacksmen of teinds, tenants, possessors, and others liable in payment of the said stipend for the said last half of the year 1691. And ordain letters of horning to be directed hereon at the instance of the said factor, he producing a decreet of locality. And in case there be none, ordain the heritors and others foresaid liable in payment of the said stipend to make payment thereof to the said factor for the said half year according as shall be discerned be the judge ordinary in respect said factor has found sufficient caution acted in the books of privy council that he shall employ the said half year’s stipend for the ends and uses foresaid.
