Act Mr James Aird for stipend

Anent the petitione given in to the Lords of there majesties privie Councill be Mr James Aird late minister at Torryburne Shewing That the petitioner haveing in Apryll last represented to the saids Lords That the petitioner wes depryved of his charge for not haveing read the proclamatione in due tyme Emitted by the meeting of Estates Notwithstanding that the petitioner did Constantly pray for there majestyes King William and Queen Mary altho it wes evident by the date of the shirreff Clerks Letter that the day prefixed wes elapsed befor it came to the presbitry of Dumferling to conferr with tuo of there Lordships number And sieing the petitioner Lyes still depending befor the saids Lords And that most considerable of the Heretors are satisfyed that the petitioner have the stipend for the Cropt and year Jaj vjc and nyntie one sieing that the church is still vacant And since it is hoped that the petitioner shall be found to have been Leised and shall be reponed be there Lordships And therefore craveing to the effect underwreitten As the said petitione bears The Saids Lords of there majestyes privie Councill haveing considered this petitione given in to them be the above Mr James Aird They hereby allow to the petitioner the stipend of the above kirk of Torrieburne for the haill cropt and year of God Jaj vjc nyntie one And ordaines him to be readiely ansuered obeyed and payed thereof be the heretors fewers wodsetters and others Lyable in payment of the samen He produceing a decreet of Locality And in case there be none ordaines these Lyable to make payment to the petitioner of there respective proportiones of the said years stipend according as the samen shall be decerned be the Judge ordinarie In respect the petitioner hes given in to the Clerks of Councill ane obligatione subscryved be him Binding and obleidging himself That for the future He shall pray for there majestyes King William and Queen Mary as King and Queen of this Realme

Act to Mr James Aird for stipend

Concerning the petition given in to the lords of their majesties’ privy council by Mr James Aird, late minister at Torryburn showing that the petitioner having in April last represented to the said lords that the petitioner was deprived of his charge for not having read the proclamation in due time emitted by the meeting of estates, notwithstanding that the petitioner did constantly pray for their majesties King William and Queen Mary, although it was evident by the date of the sheriff clerk’s letter that the day prefixed wes elapsed before it came to the presbytery of Dunfermline to confer with two of their lordships number, and seeing the petitioner lies still depending before the said lords, and that most considerable of the heritors are satisfied that the petitioner have the stipend for the crop and year 1691 seeing that the church is still vacant, and since it is hoped that the petitioner shall be found to have been lesed2 and shall be reponed be their lordships, and therefore craving to the effect underwritten, as the said petition bears. The said lords of their majesties’ privy council having considered this petition given in to them by the above Mr James Aird they hereby allow to the petitioner the stipend of the above kirk of Torryburn for the whole crop and year of God 1691 and ordain him to be readily answered, obeyed and paid thereof by the heritors, feuers, wadsetters and others liable in payment of the same, he producing a decreet of locality, and in case there be none ordain those liable to make payment to the petitioner of their respective proportions of the said year’s stipend according as the same shall be decerned by the judge ordinary in respect the petitioner has given in to the clerks of council an obligation subscribed by him binding and obliging himself that for the future he shall pray for their majesties King William and Queen Mary as King and Queen of this realme
