Order to the magistrats of Edinburgh anent the ministers of South Leith

The Councill Being Informed that there2 are some differences amongst the Inhabitants of South Leith anent the entering a minister to the possessione of that kirk And that the same If not carefully Looked to, may tend to the disturbance of the peace The Lords Called for the proveist of Edinburgh And recomended to him to take care that the peace be not disturbed And to call for assistance of there majestyes forces in that place If he see cause.

The councill being informed that there are some differences amongst the inhabitants of South Leith concerning the entering of a minister to the possession of that kirk, and that the same if not carefully looked to, may tend to the disturbance of the peace, the lords called for the provost of Edinburgh and recommended to him to take care that the peace be not disturbed and to call for assistance of their majesties’ forces in that place if he see cause.
